Amanda started her Veterinary career on the outskirts of Brisbane in a mixed practice in 2004. After completing an internship in equine medicine and surgery she returned to Queensland then turned her attention to small animals. She completed a Grad Dip in Animal Chiropractic through RMIT in 2008 and completed a Certificate in Veterinary Acupuncture with IVAS in 2013. These modalities combine really well and she particularly likes to use then to improve the quality of patients suffering from arthritis or joint disease, and also anxiety. In addition to this, Amanda has completed a number of courses in canine rehabilitation. She particularly enjoys working with performance or agility animals as well as those rehabilitating from injury or surgery. Amanda believes that these skills allow her to tailor the best overall heath care plan for individual animals.
Outside of her veterinary work, Amanda is the ADF Senior Veterinary Officer and helps to look after the Army and RAAF working dogs. She also enjoys renovating her house (an ongoing labour of love) and camping with her husband.
